About Pannier

Pannier Corporation was founded in 1899 as Pannier Brothers Stamp Company to serve the growing Pittsburgh steel industry with marking and identification tools.

Since that time, Pannier has become an industry leader in automatic identification equipment. We serve the metals, automotive, building products, and many other industries with a full line of reliable marking solutions and world-class services.

History of Pannier Tags

We designed and patented our first automatic tag embossing machine and the nick-and-notched tag in the 1960s. Our embossing product line has grown to include several types of tag embossing machines for a variety of applications.

In 1983, we introduced the printed metal tag, a revolutionary product that allowed manufacturers to bar code their products in the harshest environments. Our history of innovation continues with printers that use the latest laser technology and full complement of tags to meet the demands of today's manufacturers.
